Michael Jackson Jr…of Alvin Ailey…..Hailed and lauded by The New York Times…Captioned and referenced by The Wall Street Journal… Since rejoining the illustrious Alvin Ailey American Theatre in 2015, Michael has slowly and meticulously positioned himself as the undeniable “darling of dance.” Watching him perform is an intoxicatingly sublime experience that challenges your sensibilities. Aesthetically, he’s the boy next door; but when he dances, he moves like a graceful swan.

MICHAEL JACKSON, JR. (New Orleans, L.A) began his dance training at age 14 at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C., under the direction of Charles Augins. He became a member of Dance Theatre of Harlem Dancing through Barriers Ensemble in 2005. In 2006 he joined Dallas Black Dance Theatre, and in 2008 joined Philadanco, where he also worked as artistic director of D3. With a resume that literally opens doors and vestibules of opportunity for him, Michael could have rested on his laurels when the doors of Alvin Ailey were opened for him. But the commitment he has for his craft just won’t allow him to be still. He consistently challenges himself for greatness and high-level execution. Michael Jackson Jr. is indeed deemed a master of his class……
